Dr. Arunas Slekys
Vice President - Hughes Network Systems
Dr. Arunas Slekys is vice president of Corporate Marketing, as well as vice president and general manager of the Russia & NIS Business for HUGHES. In these dual positions, he is responsible for managing all of HUGHES marketing communications and advocacy initiatives worldwide, along with overall P&L responsibility for the company?s broadband satellite business in Russia, Ukraine and the NIS countries.
Previously, Dr. Slekys served as vice president of the Wireless Networks Division at HUGHES and was responsible for the TDMA networks product line business comprising the AIReach family of digital cellular mobile, wireless loop and wireless data (CDPD) systems. During this period he was elected and served for several years on the CTIA board.
His long affiliation with the wireless industry began at NovAtel Communications, Ltd. in Calgary Alberta. There he served as senior vice president responsible from the company's inception for establishing product research and development, and spearheading the company?s success worldwide in the cellular mobile and systems marketplace.
Slekys began his telecommunications career more than 25 years ago at Caltech's Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he worked as a digital communications research engineer, developing deep space network and pulsar tracking systems. He later joined Bell Canada and subsequently Bell Northern Software Research, managing switched-network related systems development and advanced technology programs.
He holds a bachelor of applied science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, a master's degree from the University of Illinois, and a doctorate in computer and communications engineering from UCLA. He is co-author of a founding patent for CDPD (Cellular Digital Packet Data) systems and is a frequently published author on satellite and wireless communications.

Mike Beaton

Mike Beaton is SVP of Business Development for Masergy Communications, Inc since 2004. Prior to that Mike served as SVP of Global Sales from Masergy's founding in 2000. His responsibilities include establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships as well as capturing and adding key targeted multi-national corporations (MNC's) to the Masergy portfolio. Prior to joining Masergy, he was Regional VP for International Network Services and EVP & GM for GE Capital Technology Management Services. He has served in the IT/Telecom industry for over 30 years and apart from the USA, has been based in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
MASERGY ( www.masergy.com) is a privately-held global service provider specializing in real-time application performance across converged enterprise networks. Serving customers in 40 countries throughout Europe, Asia, Latin and North America, the company leverages Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) across an Internet Protocol (IP)-based network to cost-effectively deliver multiple services over a single connection. MASERGY's customers include companies from the financial/banking, health care, entertainment broadcasting, hospitality/hotels and manufacturing industries. Mack Treece
Head of Americas, Sales and Marketing
Orange Business Services
Mack Treece leads Equant's Sales and Marketing organization in the Americas. He is responsible for positioning Equant as the worldwide leader in communications infrastructure solutions market in the Americas and oversees the delivery of Equant's unique portfolio of value-added service offerings to customers throughout this area.
Until June 2004, Mack served as senior vice president of Equant's Business Operations & Services organization, which encompassed Telco and Access Management, New Market Development, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Real Estate and General Services, Equant's Satellite & Wireless Business, Corporate-wide Training, Vendor Management for outsourcing activities and Operational Performance Reporting and Process Change.
Mack, a seven-year veteran of Equant, has held several positions in the company, including chief financial officer of Equant Markets & Sales and chief financial officer of Equant's Network Services business, and head of Equant's Partners & Channels responsible for globally developing and managing Equant's sales through indirect channels. He was also a member of the former SITA/Equant Joint Venture Management Committee, which was the organization that managed the Equant network prior to the merger with Global One.
Prior to joining Equant, Mack spent 13 years with Bell Atlantic in a number of positions of increasing responsibility. Immediately prior to joining Equant, he was the CFO of Bell Atlantic International Wireless (BAIW) and the vice president for BAIW Asia Pacific, where he managed the diverse financial investments Bell Atlantic had in many international ventures and operationally ran Asia for BAIW. Prior to this, Mack spent approximately seven years working for Bell Atlantic in Europe in the capacity of CFO for Bell Atlantic's Czech and Slovak Wireless and data companies in Prague, Czech Republic (EuroTel Praha and EuroTel Bratislava) and managing director of Bell Atlantic's International Finance company in the Netherlands.
Mack holds a master's degree in business from Widener University and a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia (McIntire School of Commerce).

Salvatore Lopes

Sal Lopes has held leadership roles in global operations, network services and IT with TCCC since 1997 in Belgium and North America. He currently leads global telecommunications planning and operations. During his tenure at TCCC, he has accomplished significant cost savings through outsourcing, operating expense reduction, and efficiency projects. He has reduced WAN operating costs, improved network reliability and change management performance, and sponsored network security and efficiency initiatives. Prior to TCCC, Mr. Lopes managed network design and operations for CCB/NY and Columbia Pictures.

Brian Dolan

Brian Dolan has been with Global Crossing for five years where he is currently the Southeast Area VP of Sales. His responsibilities include developing and managing customer relationships for Global Crossing, growing new business, developing creative ways to serve clients? unique business needs, and mentoring sales teams. His notable client roster includes global powerhouses such as Delta Air Lines, Turner Broadcasting, E*TRADE and Jabil Circuit. A native of New York, Brian?s career in telecommunications began over 17 years ago with MCI where he spent 9 years in sales, customer service, and Internet product development. Later, Brian joined @Home Networks as VP of Sales and Development. While with @Home Networks, Brian developed new strategies for content distribution and developed strategy for the @Work platform. Prior to his current role at Global Crossing, Brian ran Sales and Business Development for Virtela Communications, a VNO (Virtual Network Operator) company headquartered in Denver, CO.
